JAL ranked No. 1 in Asia Pacific in airline on-time performance report!

 The UK-based aviation data analysis giant Sirium has resumed publishing its On-Time Performance Report from May.


According to the report, JAL (95.19%) topped the list of major airlines in the Asia Pacific region in terms of on-time arrival rate, followed by ANA (94.60%), Air New Zealand (89.59%), Garuda Indonesia (87.98%), and Korean Air (85.48%). ANA and Air New Zealand moved up from fifth and ninth place, respectively.

Orders for Airbus A350-900 cargo versions begin!

 The Boeing 777F is almost dominating the market for new large freighters. Airbus will begin taking orders for cargo planes based on the larger A350-900 aircraft as early as July, Bloomberg reported.

United Airlines contracts to purchase 15 supersonic "Overture" aircraft from Boom Supersonic!

<United Airlines to bring back supersonic flying with Boom deal>

 On June 3, United Airlines announced that it had signed an agreement to purchase 15 supersonic Overture planes from Boom Supersonic, a U.S. aircraft venture, marking the first time since the Concorde was retired in 2003 that supersonic airliners are expected to return to the world's skies.


Under the agreement, the airline will purchase 15 of Boom's "Overture" aircraft once they meet United's safety, operating and sustainability requirements, with an option for an additional 35 aircraft.

The Chubu Aerospace Support Action is a joint effort of the Chubu region to support aircraft suppliers!

 In order to survive the new coronavirus disaster and for future growth after the recovery of aviation demand, local governments and support organizations in the Chubu region will work together to support aircraft suppliers. 

In order to vitalize the aircraft suppliers, it will work on various support projects throughout the Chubu region, including business maintenance measures such as support for maintaining certification, employment maintenance through human resource matching, and human resource development for aircraft manufacturing. In particular, at the Aeromart Nagoya 2021 to be held in October, we will strengthen our efforts to develop new fields and sales channels through business matching with buyers not only from aircraft but also from other industries, and industrial tours for overseas buyers.
