Central Japan International Airport Centrair's second runway to be added, to be operational in 2027!

In February this year, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism applied for the reclamation. On May 25, Aichi Prefecture approved the reclamation of the sea area including the proposed site for a new runway at Central Japan International Airport. The three Tokai prefectures and others are aiming for the new runway to be in service by 2027, and this is a big step toward realizing the plan.

Airbus delivered 45 aircraft in April 2021, Boeing delivered 4 737MAX's !

Airbus took delivery of 45 aircraft in April 2021, more than three times as many as in the same month last year, when it took delivery of 14 aircraft. Orders for 48 aircraft were more than five times higher than the nine aircraft ordered in the same month last year.

<Boeing>

The total number of aircraft delivered in April was 17. Of these, four 737MAX, nine 787 Dreamliners, two 767s and two 777 transport aircraft were delivered. The total number of aircraft delivered since the beginning of the year is 94.

Construction of second runway at Fukuoka Airport starts and will be completed in March 2022!

 <Successful bid for Fukuoka Airport runway expansion by Obayashi Corporation for 2.53 billion yen>

Obayashi Corporation won the bid for the ground improvement work for the runway expansion of Fukuoka Airport in 2021 at 2,530,490,000 yen (excluding tax).  The work including removal of structures and ground improvement will be carried out in conjunction with the expansion of the runway at Fukuoka Airport. The construction period is planned to end on March 25, 2022.

The second construction work was awarded to Goyo/Fudo Tetra JV for 1,720,860,000 yen (excluding tax). In this project, airport paving and ground improvement work will be carried out. The construction period is planned to end on March 25, 2010.

The Boeing Company Announced First Quarter Results

 <Commercial Aircraft Business in the First Quarter Results>

 On April 28, 2021, Boeing President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Calhoun shared the following message with employees regarding the company's first quarter results.

 Positive net orders for the quarter, including major contracts for 737 MAX aircraft with Southwest Airlines, United Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

 Delivered more than 85 737 MAX aircraft to customers around the world since the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration approved the return to service in November 2020; 21 airlines returned aircraft to service and safely flew more than 26,000 revenue flights, totaling more than 58,500 flight hours.

 Resumption of 787 deliveries in the first quarter.
